Updated October 2026. We make Replied. Partiful is a good product, and for a lot of parties it’s the right pick, so this page says when.
The short answer
- Use Partiful for casual parties with friends who are comfortable tapping a link: birthdays, game nights, house parties. It’s free and looks great.
- Use Replied when some of your guests won’t tap a link or fill in a form: weddings with grandparents on the list, church events, club meetings, family reunions, quinceañeras. Guests RSVP by just replying to a text.

Where Partiful is better
- It’s free. For a casual party, that’s hard to beat.
- It’s social. Guests see who else is going, post photos and comment, which is part of the fun for friend groups.
- Design. Themes, effects and posters make the invite feel like an event.
Where Replied is better
- Guests who don’t do links. Partiful asks guests to open a page, type their phone number and enter a code. Most people manage fine, but older relatives, church members and anyone wary of links from unknown numbers often don’t, and you end up calling them. With Replied they just text back.
- Paper invitations. Print “Text your RSVP to (your number)” on a printed invitation, and guests text that number. Nothing to type in or scan.
- Families. Each household gets one invitation and can answer for everyone, and you can cap seats per household, like a paper RSVP card.
- Organizations with regular events. Churches, clubs and planners can use a monthly plan and keep every event in one dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Is Partiful really free?
Yes. Creating events, inviting and RSVPing are free. In October 2026 Partiful added an optional paid subscription, Partiful Plus, for extras like themes.
Do Partiful guests need to download the app?
No, they can RSVP through the link. They do enter a phone number and a verification code.
Can I use both?
Yes. Some hosts make a Partiful page for friends and put a Replied text-to-RSVP number on paper invitations for family members who won’t use the link.
How much does Replied cost for a wedding?
Replied charges per household, one time. A 150-guest wedding is usually around 60 households, which fits the 100-household tier for $59.99.
