Updated October 2026. We make Replied. The two services do different jobs, so this is mostly about which job you need done.
The short answer
- TextMyGuests is for sending texts: wedding-weekend announcements, shuttle times, schedule changes, with replies collected in a private stream. Its own site recommends collecting phone numbers as you gather RSVPs, meaning somewhere else.
- Replied is for collecting RSVPs by text: invitations go out by text (or your RSVP number goes on paper invitations), guests reply, and Replied counts yeses, nos, headcount and meal choices for you. You can also text everyone who’s coming.

Which do you need?
- You need to know who’s coming: Replied.
- You already have RSVPs and want polished day-of updates with scheduled messages: TextMyGuests.
- A few updates to everyone attending is enough: Replied’s “message all guests” covers it, so you don’t need a second service.
Frequently asked questions
Does TextMyGuests collect RSVPs?
It isn’t built as an RSVP tracker. Guests can reply to texts, and replies show in a private stream, but its site recommends gathering RSVPs and phone numbers before you use it.
Can Replied send wedding-day updates?
Yes. From your dashboard you can text everyone who RSVP’d, for example a venue change or shuttle time.
